An Australian trained General Practitioner, Dr Jason Tang graduated with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Monash University. He has had a varied background prior to joining us at Eastlink Family Medical in 2020.

Dr Tang previously worked as a registered pharmacist prior to completing a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Sydney. He was able to gain a wide range of experience as he trained at Sydney’s Westmead Hospital, before moving back to Melbourne to finish his training at Monash Health. After this, he pursued a specialisation in General Practice in Gippsland, Victoria to become a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Tang found working in a rural setting to be extremely rewarding.

Dr Jason Tang’s passion lies in Women’s Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health as well as Family Planning. He has also attained a Certificate of Women’s Health as well as a Diploma of Child Health. During his time in Gippsland, he also cared for adolescent patients with mental health or gender identity difficulties, as well as patients from Headspace. He is passionate about promoting the understanding of health conditions and treatments, ensuring good mental health, and working together with his patients to meet their healthcare goals.

Glad to be back in Melbourne, Dr Jason Tang enjoys spending time with his family. He has two young sons and loves to cook and explore different cuisines. He especially loves his sons’ help in the kitchen, even if they make more mess than food!
